wow jetlag sucks. my body feels so out of whack from it. whenever i wake up from sleeping i feel like a semi-truck slammed into me.

in good news, seoul was fucking awesome. i felt like it was 24/7 nonstop fun. from going out drinking and partying to sightseeing to shopping to meeting ben’s really cool friends, i had one of the best times of my life. ben was a GREAT host, skipping all but 2 of his classes to take me everywhere. it was one of the most stress-free times in recent memory except for a couple of bothersome states-related incidents. I had a couple of great massages there, including one where this girl walked on my back! I was apprehensive of that at first, given my herniated disc problem, but it actually felt great! saw some really cool sites, danced to some good music and overall just had a blast. i also got hit by a truck! but it was a small truck and it wasn’t going that fast, so i survived

i’ve posted about 200 pictures from seoul over here. There’s another 100 that I need to put up. I’ll try breaking down the days more clearly in future posts. The only thing that I wish I did but we didn’t get around to was going to the DMZ. Our reservations were supposedly canceled after they had to be moved to another day because of war games that the troops were conducting along the border. Oh well, some other time perhaps.

Busy week so far. I hung out with Eric, watching a few episodes of 24 (almost done with season 1). Also shared my experiences with Youn after all the advice she gave me about going to Seoul last night.

Tonight I’m watching KG go to “war” in game 7 with Neil and then I’m heading up to the city to party with Eric at Kaskade’s cd release party. I’m looking forward to hearing his new shit.

Tomorrow evening I’m having dinner with Diem, a coworker, and then I might go watch Supersize Me, that movie about the guy who ate nothing but McDonald’s for 30 days to see what it would do for him. I think a lot of MickeyD’s new health options are trying to pre-emptively combat the negative press that will come from this indie flick. That and they’re tryign to keep up with the Atkins furor.

Friday night, I’m probably going to watch Troy with Youn and her friends and then head up to the city with Eric and some others to hit up a club. I feel like trying someplace new, but who knows, it might be DNA or Loft11 again. If anyone actually reads this blog and wants to join us, you should know how to reach me. Otherwise, fuck off you weirdo. Just kidding… I actually appreciate stalkers, particularly the female variety.

Saturday I’m going to be hitting up senior formal. Jackie invited me to go with her and Claudia. That should be a lot of fun, especially since last year I had a shitty time and wasted a lot of money. I’m looking forward to hanging out as friends and seeing some familiar faces there. That and drinking. A lot. Being in Korea significantly altered my tolerance… (btw, I’m super happy for Jackie, she finally got a job offer! and a very nice one at that! :-D)

My car is going to the shop Saturday during the day… oil change, 7500 mile maintainence, and a brake job. I’ll be chilling with Sam while my baby gets fixed up. I haven’t seen Sam in weeks so I’m really looking forward to kickin it with him.

Really busy times, I can’t remember the last time I was this occupied being out with people, except for maybe a few months ago, but I’m looking forward to it. I love living in this area and having friends around to go do stuff with! Makes me look forward to the summer and endless sunny days out partying or at the beach (not really thinking about the fact that I work in an area with no windows…).

I’m very seriously contemplating picking up cycling with Rustin. I need to figure out how to save up for the $1k+ investment to get a good bike, but I think I want to do it. Get my ass in shape, get healthy, have fun and meet new people.

Alright I need to get out of work and take care of some bullshit related to my car insurance. This entry is long enough anyway! More updates later…
