right so this update should have happened a while back. i have forgotten some of the things i did last week already =(

early in the week i remember youn taking over my apartment for her jewelry projects. that was so cool to watch her do that stuff and i even helped out a tiny bit myself by doing some sanding.

thursday i hung out with sam. don’t remember doing anything in particular with sam except for eating falafel gyros at this korean-run place called vivi’s in cupertino. very cheap eats there.

friday i chilled with sam again before i picked up kathryn from the airport after she flew in from NYC for graduation. we hung out for a little bit and it was cool to see her. she gave me a present! a nice solid bookmark from the metropolitan museum of art.

saturday i did work. yes it sucked. very much.

sunday i took the caltrain to campus for graduation. met up with rustin and caught the last hour of commencement. went to old union with rustin to grab his diploma (BS in EE, congrats man). ran into a bunch of cs ppl at the old union courtyard where i received my diploma last year (:P) and then i headed off to encina west for the public policy grad…

hit up old spaghetti factory for youn and lily’s grad dinner celebration. met youn and lily’s parents and family, all of whom were very nice to me. my recent trip to seoul provided conversation fodder and it was a relatively relaxed time.

monday i drove over to stanford to hang out with people. i don’t remember doing much else…

tuesday i stayed in, ordered pizza and watched the nba finals with jackie. oi i hadn’t had pizza in so long and it will probably be a while before i have it again. it just wasn’t as good as i remember it being…

congrats to the pistons! no one thought they could do it and i love it when the underdog pulls it out. they dominated the lakers throughout the series and i doubt anyone had them picked in 5 games. it’s just too bad that gary won’t get his ring… =/

wednesday i went to the giants game with youn and her sister. took the caltrain up after getting off work a little early. damn, baseball games have become expensive endeavours.

ok that was lame but the view was very beautiful. had fun on the train ride back singing renditions of burn, confessions, and yeah by usher. hahaha… “let. it. burn.” also ran into my lead from work at the game, which i suggested he take his kids and his nephew to. his first time to pacbell/sbc so he liked it too. i will never go to an evening game again without wearing something with long sleeves…. brrrrrr.

last night i was at work a little late, then i went over to sam’s. we were going to play some zelda, but we were so tired that we opted for a movie instead. very little was interesting at blockbuster, so we settled on out of time with denzel and eva mendes. pretty enjoyable movie… i liked it a lot. i also picked up devdas, very controversial hindi movie that i think i will watch tonight if i can convince balaji.

dna lounge tonight, maybe ruby skye or circolo tomorrow night. looking forward to miguel migs spinning at my favorite club no plans for tomorrow during the day… i’m thinking i should organize my papers, hang up some stuff on the walls, buy some things to make the place feel a bit more homey, and stuff like that. sunday i’m going to play ball, big right toe permitting. the damn thing is taking forever to heal! otherwise i’ll just hit the bike. i’ll be helping my coworker build a computer too so that should be fun.

things are pretty hectic at work but i love what i’m doing. i saw some cool testing going on of these huge mechanical systems. very fun to watch. also connecting better with my lead and my manager and i think people are impressed with the results i’m putting out =)

ugh i’m so tired right now. stayed up til 2:30am trying to fix my toe to no avail and then i woke up for work around 9:30. blah! gonna take off early, catch a nap and then chill with balaji til i head up to DNA.

sidenote: managing finances and accounts can be such a PITA sometimes… (PITA = pain in the ass). i’m transition away from my washington mutual platinum account toward a citibank + ing direct combo. it’s just annoying how banks lock up funds for a really long period of time for no good reason. sometimes i feel like just going to the bank, withdrawing a few thousand bucks in cash and walking it to the new bank i’m working with. but then i could get robbed. and that would suck.

random event of the week: a dream where my eyes were blurry by finally focused while i was trying to look at my buddy list and then i saw the screen name lucifersay … that would be none other than lindsey’s screen name. so weird… haven’t been in touch with her for quite some time now but i wonder how she’s doing. last i knew she was in thailand for some dance thing.
