well today was my first day at aplix. started off by walking down to the rockridge bart station which took a couple more minutes than i was expecting. i got there in time to buy a new bart ticket and scarf down some breakfast i had packed from home. i chilled on the bart for the 25 minute ride over to my stop in SF and walked another 15 or so minutes down to the office. i spent the day meeting people, filling out HR-related forms and setting up my sweet new laptop. went out to lunch with a bunch of co-workers and we all sat around chatting which was a very nice experience and different from most of the groups i worked with @ LM. i learned that the building aplix is in has a shuttle that goes to the bart station which is awesome because it saves me a 15-20 minute walk after work (and before if necessary). i’m happy about this considering that i will probably find myself pretty tired after some days at the office.

anyway, short summary for today because it’s already pretty late and i’m ready to hit the sack. i spent a couple of more hours tonight working on HR-related forms and watched 24 of course so there went my evening. looking forward to day 2…
